Dart's Detail ("we", "us") is a mobile car detailing business based in Framingham, Massachusetts. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, our client app or our detailer app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Contact details: your name, phone number and email.
Your vehicles: make, model, year, color and any notes you add.
Addresses: where you want your car detailed.
Location during a job: detailers share their live location while they are on the way to and working a job, so clients can see when they will arrive. We don't track detailers when they're not on a job.
Photos: before and after photos and inspection photos of the vehicle, taken by the detailer.
Payments: card payments go through Stripe, and Venmo payments go through Venmo. We never see or store your full card number.
Messages and ratings: chats with your detailer or our team, and the ratings and reviews you leave.
Detailer applications: the services you offer, your work photos, your profile photo and your answers to our application questions.
Website forms: anything you type into a form, such as the "Send a note" box.

How we use it

To book, run and finish your detail, and to show you where your detailer is.
To take payments, give refunds and pay our detailers.
To send texts and app alerts about your bookings, such as confirmations, arrival times and receipts.
To check quality and handle any damage claims, using the inspection photos.
To answer your questions and improve our service.

Texts and alerts

We send texts and push alerts about your bookings and your account. Message and data rates may apply. You can turn off push alerts in your phone settings, and reply STOP to opt out of marketing texts. We will still send texts you need for a booking you made.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share only what's needed with the companies that help us run the service: Stripe and Venmo for payments, Twilio for texts, Google for maps and addresses, Supabase for our database, and Wix for this website. Your detailer sees your name, address, vehicle and job notes for the jobs they do. We may also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. We keep receipts, payment records and detailer pay records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after an account is deleted.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app under Settings > Delete my account. You can also ask us to do it by email. See Delete your account for the steps and what we keep.

Children

Our apps are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Keeping it safe

We use trusted providers and limit who on our team can see your information. No system is perfect, so please tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For big changes, we'll let you know in the app.
